GAVIN MEAD

About Me

I was born on April 24th, 1999 in Springfield, Ohio. I grew up in Dayton until I was 12 years old, then I moved to New Carlisle where I currently reside. I graduated Tecumseh High School in 2017 and currently attend Sinclair Community College. I'm working toward my Associate's Degree in Fine Art Photography at Sinclair, then transferring to Wright State University to get my Bachelor's.

When I first started going to college, I attended film school at Wright State. I had to take a Photography class there and found that I enjoyed taking film photos and working in the darkroom more than working in my film production classes. I changed my major and started going to Sinclair instead. I still have a deep love for film and it inspires many of my photos. Music and album covers also inspire my work.

I use a Nikon N65 35mm film camera and a Holga plastic lens 120 film camera.
